I couldn't put this book down from the moment I began reading it. Holly's experience was fascinating and not at all what I would have expected. A surprisingly amazing book which will stay with me for a long time. Well done Holly!

Loved it.

Having been a viewer of the girls next door it's nice to hear the real side of the story. Excellently written and easy to read this book was a great insight to a world very few enter and come out unscathed. Looking forward to any other books written by this author, though by the sounds of it she's too busy living her life to write about it.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💖💕💞

Loved it! Everything is in a whole new light!

Growing up loving the GND series we never got enough of Holly! You could almost hear her voice as this descriptive book lets you into her thoughts, feelings and the goings on we did not notice while loving these girls on camera. A very relatable Holly let's us into her private world; the ups the downs and the triumphs this book could not just be put down.. I needed to read more! Love it! Cannot wait to read Hollys second book.

Down the Rabbit Hole is an incredibly interesting exposure of the truth surrounding what seemed like a blessed and glamorous life. Holly shows her true self in this novel, proving herself to be a sensitive, genuine, witty, brave, and truly inspirational woman.

Not the best

I thought this book was going to be a page turner and keep me enthralled but it hasn't. The author goes into way too much detail, it drags on and on. She could have told some of the events in half the time. Way too much detail so much I find it hard to keep focused as I am just bored. Got to page 670 and gave up. Don't bother.

As having been a fan of both hollys tv shows - this book opened my eyes to the real holly, a much more intelligent and strong woman than has ever been portrayed before. Interesting to read and like any fairy tale - has a happy ending 💝

What a great book! Crazy to think a show I watched as a young girl, thinking how happy and perfect life was at the mansion. Just goes to show, don't judge a book by its cover! Couldn't put it down, it's a must read!

Not worth buying

After seeing a lot of good reviews on this book, and seeing someone reading it sat next to me on my flight to Thailand, I decided to purchase this book thinking it would be amazing. The first few chapters were so interesting and I couldn't put the book down as it was nice to get to know Holly as she was growing up and having an insight into what went on begins the mansions walls. Then, the further I read, the more winey, repetitive and pathetic Holly came across. She complains so much about how bad her life was in the Mansion and how badly treat she was off not only the girls, but Hugh himself. Yet she still managed to live in his mansion for almost a decade! She claims she wasn't there for the money and fame yet later on in the book she comes across so materialistic and money and fame driven. The book became more frustrating to read and it became so clear that this 'damaged girl who was only with an old rich man because she loved him so dearly' was only in it for obvious reasons, not love. To think that these women allow themselves to be used by a fossil and share the same man in the same night is beyond disgusting. This book is far from a fairy tail happy ending. It's about blond bimbos sleeping with someone old enough to be their grandfather just for that shot at fame and then throwing a pity party because of how badly they were treat and how they are wrongly judged by the public.

I didn't think this book was going to be this good (or any good) but I was very surprised! I'm glad that life worked out well for her and that she found her happily ever after. As a young girl she made all the mistakes she had too and she was able to find self worth and all he hard work paid off. Well done!!

Enjoyed this book

I never intended to purchase this book as I wasn't a fan of Holly when i watched GND, however I am soooo pleased I did. I consider this book has been written as honestly and candidly as you can and would go so far as to say the comment made to the press by Hef "Holly is re-writing history" is a load of rubbish. The entire book kept my interest and I can recommend it to anyone who has watched any of reality TV series which relate to this book. I can well imagine there were loads of "nasty girls" who walked in and out of the Mansion and I can also imagine what she says about Hef is 100% accurate. From where I am sitting Holly has cleared up a lot of misconcenived ideas and opinions about various people and situations and good on her for doing that. She tells the story of her life and how she felt, what effect it all had on her personally and she wasn't embarrassed to admit to her downfall/s. In other words she doesn't candy coat any of it. The book doesn't spill the beans at all - it is what appears to be an honest account of one woman's life at the Playboy Mansion, excellent. Holly Madison now has one more additional "fan"

Repetitive Read

Unfortunately this book reads as a long winded vent session where the content is very repetitive. Despite wanting to distance herself from the Playboy image I was very disappointed that the whole book basically surrounded the Playboy drama and less so on her other successes.

The book that sets everything straight.

I don't ever read, but I wanted to hear her truth. This book was addictive. So much that I finished it in 2 nights reading before bed. It was well written, and as I read on, I felt the relief knowing the truth and she hopefully felt telling it. I'm sad knowing what she's been through but so happy that she's come out the other side so much better off.

I was impressed with the chapter tie ins and I respected her for writing her version of the truth. I feel that she had more fun writing it then I did reading it. I think the book was a way for her to release a lot of negative emotions from her not-so-glamorous past. She gave a good insight that what we have previously perceived is not what was, however I found she was very negative about so many people and lacked the ability to accept responsibility for the roles she played. It was always someone else's fault.

I absolutely loved this book, thanks Holly for your honest account. I actually believe this kind, sweet woman and what she went through. How Hugh Hefner treated her and the Girls was pretty nasty and I think he is just so set in his ways and doesn't really care deeply for these women as much as he portrays to the public, which is sad. I understand first hand what its like to be in an emotionally abusive relationship and know what its like to feel you have no self worth at the hands of another for such a long time. Its complex however Holly describes it well. Its not all about emotional abuse, its also about complex relationships that are all incredibly surface, other than with Bridgette, who notably has not denied anything Holly has said. Kendra is part of the Playboy franchise so of course she will go into bat for Hef as she has him on her show and wont bite the hand that feeds her! I was never a Holly fan, however we were not shown the "real" Holly on TV and I was pleased to see some of her interviews on this book, what a classy lady! Pleased she eventually found her strength, got out and thrived thereafter. A lovely lady who just happened to believe in love, wanted to be loved, real love, only to be dissed as a plaything for Hef and Criss' gains, both egotistically and financially. A great, honest read and I shall be reading it again soon :)

A amazing book you can't put down

Such a amazing and interesting read. I was unable to put the book down as I was completely taken by holly's life and the amazing journey she has been on and how relatable it felt when I compared my abusive past relationships to hers and saw so many similarities it really does open your eyes to that even when something to public you don't always see what's really going on It's really fascinating and I truly suggest that everyone reads this amazing well written book And can I just say that holly looks amazing with red lipstick xx
